Oops: Lohan passed on "The Hangover"

Lindsay Lohan's latest film is going straight to cable. It could have been a pleasant box office surprise.

According to Us Weekly, Lohan turned down the role of Jade in surprise hit "The Hangover." The role of a hooker with a heart of gold eventually went to Heather Graham.

Lohan's latest film, "Labor Pains," has been downgraded from big-screen status to an ABC Family premiere. "The Hangover," meanwhile, has already scored $268 million at the box office worldwide and spurred talk of a sequel.

According to the Us Weekly report, director Todd Phillips approached Lindsay for the "Hangover" role and was told the screenplay had "no potential."

"The agent tried hard to get Phillips to consider her, and when he finally agreed, Lindsay said she didn't like the script," a source told the magazine.
